Mazda MX-5 – BBR is one of the leading brands when it comes to processing for Mazda cars. The British brand has in fact accompanied the history of several cars of the Japanese manufacturer, including the Mazda MX-5, recently presented in its fourth generation. The first kit to upgrade the roadster could not therefore come from BBR and it is a series of extremely interesting changes is dedicated to 1.5, both at 2.0.
The Mazda MX-5 1.5 can be equipped with the kit Super 160 that adds about 20 horsepower to the four-cylinder. The upgrade of electronic character and change some parameters of the unit by lifting the limiter at 7,700 rpm, reaching a maximum power of 160 horsepower.
For the Mazda MX-5 2.0 are two step processing. The first, the Super 175+, provides only electronic tags for the addition of 17 horses and the raising of the limiter to 7,100 rpm so as to arivare to 177 horsepower. The second involves the replacement of the exhaust and intake system, for a rise of 30 horses. The Mazda MX-5 Super 190 of BBR thus reaches 190 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and offers a torque of 240 Nm achieved at 3,550 rpm, 1,400 rpm less than the production model.
